Novice Teacher 's Entrance into the Practice and the Initial Problems Associated with it

The diploma thesis describes the novice teachers' problems they have to face and are associated with their entrance into the practice. Its aim is to identify these problems via analysis, describe possible solution and suggest a support how to prevent these problems. The theoretical part focuses on a teacher as an individual, his or her quality and professional standards nowadays. Additionally, the thesis summarises any concerns the novice teachers might have, any problems and the support system available to them. This system stems from the educational preparation and a lifelong professional progress. The practical part of the thesis contains a qualitative research based on three resources - a questionnaire, an interview and an observation method. This part aims to analyse problems of novice teachers in the first month of their practice, their approaches to solution and available support provided to them. The purpose of the observation is to further elaborate the current problems of novice teachers and to form a view on how they are facing with them nowadays. The thesis concludes describing numerous problems novice teachers' are currently facing with, summarises any suggestion of possible solution and a potential support how to prevent these problems in future. Teacher's self-reflection as part of his/her pedagogical competencies

This diploma thesis deals with self-reflection of a teacher as one of his key pedagogical competencies. The theoretical part is dedicated to defining a teacher as a reflective teacher. In this part, the significance of a self-reflection in a teacher's work and its influence on his consequential pedagogical activities is emphasised. This thesis describes various methods of self-reflection that teachers can use when self-reflecting. Selfreflection of teacher's work can be an incentive towards improving his further work and contribute to professional growth of a teacher and his lifelong learning. The practical part of this thesis is focused on frequency of self-reflection, its timing, use of self-reflective methods and consequent use of information found.
Problems which encounters the beginning teacher at primary school

Indicative abstract Not only can the reader get information of whom the beginning teacher is but he can also find plausible reasons leading individuals to choose pedagogical profession in theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis. It is also possible to read about specifics of pedagogical profession such as ageing of pedagogical staff, feminization, vocational deformation and more. One chapter is devoted both to uncertainties of beginning teachers and to their activities. Students of pedagogical branches might be interested in chapters concerning pedagogical preparation of teachers to-be, supremacy and nonstandard situations. Final chapter is dedicated to teachers' quality in the Czech and international context. Results of the investigation inquiry among beginning teachers at primary schools are presented in the practical part. The inquiry offers insight into the pedagogical profession through young eyes. It is possible to conclude from results which activities are the most troublesome for beginning teachers at primary schools and which they have no troubles with.
The Profession of Teaching in the Changing Context of the Current School

Bachelor thesis The Teaching Profession in the Changing Context of the Current School wants to contribute to a better understanding of the process of professionalization of teaching with emphasis on the key role of professional standard, which significantly defines the nearest state of development, both professionals and the profession, in social, economic and strategic terms. On the example of the UK I would like to show the potential risks associated with the adoption of the standard. Examines selected projects, which can significantly affect the development of the teaching profession in the Czech Republic. The last part of this thesis investigates the opinions of teachers in selected parts of a professional standard of teacher quality (Rámec profesních kvalit učitele).
Parents' expectations from the personalities of the contemporary teacher of primary school

The aim of this thesis is a theoretical level summary of the formal and other requirements that are placed on the contemporary teacher of primary school. It covers concepts such as teacher competence, teaching role, various pedagogical knowledge and skills and teacher job requirements. Description of the legislative regulation of the teaching profession is also included. Part of the theoretical work is concerned with other components of teaching such as professional ethics, professional standards, pedagogical tact and personal qualities of the teacher. At the practical level the work deals with real requirements on teachers imposed by parents based on assessed questionnaires to parents of pupils. In the comments on the individual items of the questionnaire, the author relies on the experience of her own teaching practice. The result of both parts of the thesis is a summary of the knowledge, skills and character qualities, which is the teacher supposed have today. .

The thesis deals with undergraduate training of kindergarten teachers. The aim is to compare the issue of preparation for the profession of kindergarten teacher from different perspectives in historical and international comparisons and reflect and analyze the needs of the profession towards initial training kindergarten teachers on the basis of theoretical concepts and statements from practice. The reaserch aims to analyze the curriculum of initial training kindergarten teachers at selected faculties of education in the Czech Republic, analyze and reflect on meeting the needs of the profession in these faculties and learn how to evaluate their students' level of development of their professional competence at the beginning of undergraduate training and at the end. Research design is a multi-case study. Working with reaserch respondents has a longitudinal character. Methods were used quantitative and qualitative methodology - questionnaire, rating scales, content analysis of documents, interview and focus group. 1 Professional standard in the improvement of the teaching profession Abstract Many documents dealing with education policy consider professional standard one possible type of teachers' work stimulation. The absence of a document of this type is increasingly being felt in Czech educational environment. How can we support teacher's work in present conditions so that it reaches the highest possible quality? One of the possible solutions is to approach professional standard as a set of quality criteria and indicators that can be used in evaluation. This thesis develops an evaluation strategy using a professional standard that has been specified based on educational goals and objectives and school functions. By connecting quality indicators defined in the aforesaid standard with the components of teacher's professional behaviour (4 I) this thesis has developed an original evaluation strategy focused on teachers' work support. At creation of the evaluation strategy, proposed professional standards are utilised as a formative conception; they may serve namely to specify criteria of teacher's quality.
